Maddington is a South East suburb off Perth, Western Australia, part of the local government area, the City of Gosnells. Maddington was owned by John Randall Phillips named after the English town of the same name. The suburb is bounded mostly by the Canning River, and the Tonkin Highway while the one of the Canning River’s tributaries, Bickley Brook and the Albany Highway cuts across its upper and lower quadrants respectively. The Albany Highway passes where Maddington Central (previously known as both Centro Maddington and Maddington Metro) is.
There are a number of small parks here including the Maddington Oval, Gibbs Park and Holling Street and Kilmeston Court Reserves. In addition, the Wrightway Road Training School, Bramfield Park Primary School, East Maddington Primary School and Yule Brook College can be found in Maddington. The Hanly Veterinary Clinic and Hospital is also located here.
