Rockingham is a suburb in Perth, Western Australia and part of the local government area, the City of Rockingham. The city was named after the sailing ship owned by Thomas Peel to ferry settlers to Australia. It is located on the South bank of the Cockburn Sound, Kwinana Beach and Garden Island.
