Forrestfield is a suburb of the Shire of Kalamunda in Western Australia, 15 km to the southeast of Perth at the base of the Darling Scarp. The suburb is adjacent to Wattle Grove, Cloverdale and Kalamunda. The industrial area contains a major rail hub originally Forrestfield marshalling yard operated by WAGR and then Westrail.

The Western Australian State Government has prompted the Shire of Kalamunda to investigate the possibility of business and infrastructure opportunities arising from Forrestfield and its surrounding areas. There is authority to suggest it is named after Western Australia’s first premier, John Forrest.
