Labrador is a suburb of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Robert Muir and John Lennon bought the land here when it was originally known as Southport North then renaming it after the fisheries in Canada. There are quite a number of historical buildings and landmarks here including the Labrador Hotel built by Fredrick Shaw, the Hilltop House owned by the Freeman family which was originally a meeting place for the community before any Hall was built in the area, and the Labrador House built by Francis Augusta Lousia Thorn.
There are a number of parks besides the beachfront and Main Beach islands off Marine Parade which include the Roy Neal Reserve where the Cooke Murphy Oval sits, Keith Hunt Park, Harley Park opposite the Dux Oval and Len Fox Park. The Biggera Creek runs through the centre of the suburb.
