Wynnum is a suburb of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. It sits off Moreton Bay where Green Island and Saint Helena Island are. There are 3 train stations – Wynnum North, Wynnum and Wynnum central, on the Cleveland Line that passes through the suburb.
There are a number of parks located here, especially since it is a coastal suburb. This includes Kitchener Park, Wynnum Memorial Park, Elanora Park and Greene Park, the last 2 incorporating the Mangrove Boardwalk. The Wynnum Golf Club is located next to Kitchener Park which is a walking distance from the Wynnum Central Station.
There are a number schools located in Wynnum including public schools Wynnum State and Wynnum State High as well as Brisbane Bayside State College. In addition there are a number of heritage-listed locations and buildings here such as Mount Carmel Convent, Waterloo Bay Hotel, Wynnum Wading Pool, former Wynnum Fire Station, the former Wynnum Ambulance Station and the Nazareth House.
