West End is a suburb in the south of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. It was so named by the settlers in the area who found the area similar to that of the same name in London. The former Tristram’s Drink Factory which has become the Boundary Street Markets at West End is now one of the more prominent landmarks in the suburb. Other shopping places of interest here include the West End Twilight Markets on the same street and the Green Flea Markets hosted at the Davie Park on the riverside.

Other notable locations and heritage listed buildings in the suburb include Astrea, Kurilpa Library, Dornoch Terrace Bridge, Wanda Walha, Brighton Terrace, Nassagaweya, Gas Stripping Tower, West End Gasworks and the Thomas Dixon Centre.

Orleigh Park and Musgrave park are some other community spaces here. The latter has hosted a number of well-attended festivals such as the annual Paniyiri Festival for the greek community and the Brisbane Pride Festival.
