Fairfield is a suburb in the South of Brisbane, Queensland. It is located next to the Brisbane River and just below the South Brisbane Cemetery. The Fairfield train services the suburb on the Beenleigh line and the railway tracks bound the east border of Fairfield.

There are a fair number of parks in the suburb such as the Fairfield Park, Fairview Park, Robinson Park, and the Fehlberg Park. The western border is also bounded by the larger Leyshon Park and the Yeronga-Moorooka Bikeway. In addition the Fairfield Skate Park located in the JF O’Grady Memorial Park is also a popular place for youths. It is diagonally opposite the Fairfield Gardens Shopping Centre where the Fairfield Library and the train station are. Both the shopping centre and the library had to close for 6 months following floods in 2011.
