Cannon Hill is a suburb in the west of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. It is bordered by Wynnum Road which also cuts across the suburb and the Bulimba Creek. Perrun Creek also flows across the upper segment of the suburb until the train lines near the Cannon Hill station on the Cleveland line, passing through the Cannon Hill Anglican College.

It is said that the origins of its name come from Thornhill Weedon naming the area after seeing the resemblance of 2 tree stumps to a cannon. There was also a building here – the Cannon Hill Houseon Wynnum Road that also could have lent its name to the area.

The Centre of the suburb is the location for the Cannon Hill Shopping Plaza and Urban Village Cannon Hill as well as the Monte Carlo Caravan Park opposite the Murarrie Recreation Ground.
