Moreton Bay is a local government area in the north of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. The actual Moreton Bay body of water comprises of 2 lesser bays – Deception Bay and Bramble Bay and counts the Port of Brisbane in this area too. The area designated as the Moreton Bay Region is actually closer to the Caboolture Airport just a little ways away from the Glass House Mountains.

The Moreton Bay Council is made up of Mayor Allan Sutherland and 12 other councillors – Gary Parsons, Peter Flannery, Greg Chippendale, Julie Greer, James Houghton, Koliana Winchester, David Dwyer, Mick Gillam, Mike Charlton, Brian Battersby OAM, Bob Millar and Adrian Raedel.
