Windsor is an inner north suburb of Brisbane, Queensland. It is currently a relatively quiet suburb made up of mostly residential Queenslander houses. The suburb was originally called Breakfast Creek or Upper Breakfast Creek but its name changed after the Shire of Windsor was formed in 1887. TheWindsor Shire Council became the Windsor Town Council in 1904 when other towns such as Wilston Albion, Swan Hill, Eildon and O’Connell Town joined the council.

There are also a large number of heritage sites in Windsor including the Bess Street Brick Cottages, The Grange, the Rosemount Hospital, Windsor State School, Windsor War Memorial Park where a cenotaph was erected 1925 in memory of soldiers from the town and the Boothville House as well as the Windsor Town Quarry Park and Tramways Substation No. 6 and the former Windsor Shire Council Chambers all located on Lutwyche Road.
